For most people, the Czech Republic is associated with the Good Soldier Schweik, beer, Golem Meyrink, healing air of Karlovy Vary and one of the strongest hockey teams. But these days the country is more that goes beyond traditional ideas about everything Czech.

There really is full of churches and castles, which could be ready scenery to films about vampires and monsters - from Loket Castle to the ossuary in Kutna Hora. Medieval buildings and stone pavements in Prague are the same as a century ago. Czech forests and national parks are still thick and shady and breweries continue to issue hundreds of thousands of liters of beer.

Even signs in restaurants do not change - here appreciate the traditions and time-tested recipes. Despite the fashion and culinary trends, Czechs like to eat hearty and just as tightly to feed the guests.

But at the same time, the Czech Republic - is a dynamic and modern country with rock clubs, facilities for electronic music, exhibitions and cinematic festivals.
